  Always something different to find here. It's not a 'shop' - it's a coop, which means they are a community, not a business. The staff are genuinely here to help, by being very knowledgeable on sourcing local resources and, on the avenues of waste and recycling services available - tho you have to dig a bit sometimes because different members know different things and, the items or services you require may not always be evident or even present! It's a place that keeps you coming back. They have helped me get back on my feet - I had a lot of old to send away and new to bring in. Their services, knowledge and community attitude really helped turn my life around and gave me a perspective of what a community attitude of 'pulling together' is. Don't expect a high street retail shopping experience with psynchopathic staff; anticipate a uniquely 'Brightonian' experience of humble yet practical people - (very) busy doing practical things to make a real difference in the world of which EVERYONE is but a tiny part. Thank you, Magpie. You're the best!

  They have provided good quality items to our rental properties for some time - always really helpful and never been sold any rubbish !

  You can find some great bargains but you will have to put up with a lot of rude staff. Honestly I've never been treated in a worse manner. Always being talked down on.

  A great shop where you can find all sorts of second hand bargains. They have a large selection of furniture and a lovely little clothes shop at the back.
