  Went here to buy some wine as a present. The shop was nice enough. I waited for a while to get some help as the man working there was helping another customer, and browsed the selection while I waited. When I went and asked for some help the guy did not seem very interested in helping me at all, he told me about a few wines but seemed like he was in a hurry and therefore didnt really wanted to explain anything. I asked him some specific things regarding the different wines, but he did not really seem to want to give me any advice at all. He just pointed out a few wines, and then just walked away from the conversation?! He was not very friendly and did not seem like he knew much about wine at all? I don't know why he was so unfriendly and not very service minded, maybe because I'm younger than his usual customers? He seemed perfectly friendly with a middle-aged woman who was there before me. I did not really want to ask him more, so I just went and picked out a few bottles. Then when I went to pay, I asked the other guy working there (who was very friendly), if I should go with the one I picked out or if he thought I should go with a different one that the first man had pointed to. He asked him which one it was he had pointed to, and the grump rolled his eyes at me before just walking away with a grumpy look. What kind of customer service is this? Needless to say I won't be buying wine from here again. But thank you to the younger employee who was really nice and friendly.

  Every time I call the branch to place an order, no one ever picks up. So this results in leaving a voicemail telling Majestic wine to call me back. The truth however is, no one ever does call back (regardless of the amount of voicemail's you leave). Sadly this is not the first time it's happened, this happens on a weekly basis and this seriously got me thinking of switching suppliers for 2016. Listening to Majestic Wines answer machine message, they clearly say they would call you back. I sometimes wait hours, days, if not weeks. Majestic Wine shouldn't make a promise that they can't keep (regardless of how busy they are). This is just the beginning of Majestic Wines major problems, other problems include being charged wrong prices (the prices Bridget Smith promised doesn't match the prices on their system) and they always promise to update the prices on their system to ensure I get charged correctly next time however I always discover I am yet being charged higher prices! Today I went into the Summertown branch and purchased 6 bottles of Prosecco, I am supposed to be charged £7.75, however I was charged a higher price of £8.10 - when querying this they said they wouldn't let me buy it unless I pay the higher price. But strangely £7.75 is the price Bridget promised me and this was the price I had been always paying for the past 12 months - why rob me by not keeping your promise and charging me higher prices? I also discovered certain details like my contact number is inaccurate (in their system). All these problems are nothing but a portrayal of unprofessional to it's maximum. Majestic Wine, Summertown is all over the place and this is how businesses end up closing down (due to not taking complaints seriously). I totally don't see any point in running a branch when you leave customers like myself unhappy. If I could score this branch a 'Zero' I would, tragically Google didn't give me this option. I left a highly negative review on Google and every consumer reviewing website there is. Check for yourself. Negative reviews is all that Majestic Wine deserves.
