::Tried to visit today - early afternoon on 7 August 2017- but place was closed. No sign to say if it was closed for a day, a holiday or permanently shut.

::I could not find books I wanted but at least dealer had a fair old rummage about for me which was good enough of him. Love places like this some of the books you find are literary gold, out of print gems, old knowledge is in these places, you lose them you lose it so it's coman sense to support your local book dealer or old school book shop.

::This secondhand book stall is slightly mislabelled on the map and is in fact at the very end of Church Street, on the corner with High Street and opposite the Arndale. Hardbacks, better quality stock and rarer items are displayed on the shelves on the back wall. In front of that, there's a lot of stock, mostly paperbacks of varying condition and including quite a lot of genre fiction, all piled haphazardly on tables to a depth of six or seven books. It's not easy to browse but can reward the effort, as you often find things at the bottom that no customer has probably seen for some time. I've had quite a few serendipitous discoveries and bargains from here.
