  Shop is Closing Down... They added 50% increase to all there products then as it was announced they're closing down, they're offering Upto 50% Off. Hopefully they'll Shut down soon. I went in there a few days ago thinking there was a mad rush from people to buy their leads & Gadgets but truthfully it looked like they hadn't sold a thing. Maybe am not the only one who sees the Scam. Maplins was always more expensive than its competitors proberly why they're Shutting Down. If you look Online everything Maplins is selling one can obtain literally 70% cheaper... Rest In peace Maplins

  So maplin are going into administration, well looking at the prices not surprised, Xbox one hard drive £89.99.Got the same one from Curry's £72.99!!!!!

  I'd not visited this shop for over 20 years, and now apparently they're the oldest shop in the chain. Although Maplin isn't the cheapest option all of the time, they were open on a sunday afternoon and as an amateur maker had everything i needed in store, along with a few things i hadn't realised i wanted and a few more things to add to a wishlist. The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and willing to look up the awkward escoteric questions they hadn't encountered before. Perhaps more importantly they were also unobtrusive, allowing me to browse whilst helping other customers. The shop itself is built into the building & canopy of what used to be an old petrol station, an architectural quirk which tends to make me smile. As a result the store has good parking facilities, and unlinked to that the compact interior is well laid out. This place makes electronics and component shopping an utter pleasure compared to their competitors. (nicer and more efficient staff than the Leeds branch is a bonus too!)

  You can find everything elsewhere a lot cheaper but the staff are knowledgeable and the shop is always going to have what you need in stock

  Bought streaming gear from here, Manager Rob told me about the price match etc and saved the sale from going elsewhere! Great service!
