  I'm not really impressed with this chain. Basic products are generally overpriced. I go there when I need something on the spot. They have quite a capillary network of shops.

  I go into maplin constantly looking at what I might purchase and eventually purchase, on this occasion I bought a battery charger which was advertised as 16 pounds when for the last 3 weeks I have been researching them ,only to find that maplins had advertised it under the wrong price..They decided to offer me a 7 pound voucher off when I spend 75 pounds next time. Seriously why would I spend 75 pounds to save £ 7 .Maplin get your pricing and placement Right and do something about those useless coupons not every body wants to spend so much to save so little

  If I wanted to pay £14 for a USB cable, I would go on Amazon, pick one up for £3, and burn the remaining money. Basics are INCREDIBLY overpriced. Staff are friendly enough but as a value proposition, I have a hard time justifying a trip to this store

  Small shop but great customer service and good selection of products available to keep most people happy.
