::I have just visited Marshall Volvo and Jaguar in Peterborough (I live in Huntingdon). The Volvo salesperson Robert could not have been more helpful; my wife had a test drive in a V40 and went through the various options available. I was excited about trying out one of my choices of next car the Jaguar F-Pace. We walked from the Volvo part to the Jaguar part (next door) and the experience was completely different; I requested a test drive, 'we need 24 hours notice' he said; then silence. 'When is the earliest availability?', 'If you call in the morning I can try and arrange it for that afternoon'; then silence. No effort whatsoever to accommodate me = zero customer service. I decided there and then to come back to the Audi garage in Huntingdon.

::I would say appalling customer service, but that would imply that I had actually received some form of response from this dealership, or the Marshall Group in general. I have tried countless times to get in touch with them, trying numerous methods of contact regarding a car I purchased off of them, but I have not heard anything back at all. I even tried to follow the Marshall Group complaints procedure, but again, heard absolutely nothing back. Despite being a large group - their investors guide quotes over 120 dealerships in the UK - they still clearly have no process in place for aftersales service, something I find baffling for a publicly traded company, where one would assume public perception matters. I am hoping that this review gets picked up, and they I can finally get my issues looked into, however I feel that this is very far-fetched, and suspect that if someone does reply to my comment, it will be a generic response like all of the other reviews have received. I would stay away from the Marshall Group as a whole at all costs, as they only enforce the stereotypically bad reputation that car dealerships are tainted with. For the record, my main issue with the dealership was the fact the car I purchased didn't come with a spare key, but I was promised on numerous occasions that I would be provided with one when picking the car up, only to be told on the day that they hadn't managed to get it yet, but they would send it to me. This was 3 months ago now, and I have still not received it, despite chasing in almost every method I can.
