  I love libraries. I do. They’re brilliant. Macdonald Road library is a bit of a cracker too. I mostly like it because it’s open a couple of evenings a week, as well as on a Saturday (hooray for accessible hours), and because the staff are friendly and cheery. No stern looks from librarians here. It’s a shame that the electronic check in and out machines hardly ever work, but that’s a small quibble. It’s rare that I head away from here without a couple of books tucked under my arm, as it’s got a good fiction section. It’s also got a decent sized foreign language section, great audiobooks, and self-serve reservations. Great if you’re looking for something in particular – you can order it and collect at your leisure.
