Big building, only small part library. The books that I can find in the library app can mostly not be found in the library. And I didn't see any duplicates anywhere. The good books are probably all loaned out all the time. Besides that, they might want to update their collection as well. Generally, I think it's a pretty good library if I'd compare it to other ones. But don't be fooled by the size of the building. The library itself is just one floor. A thing that didn't really sit well with me, was the LGBT propaganda advertised on the library floor. A library is not supposed to be political. It makes me suspicious of a strong degree of subjectivity when it comes to the selection of material they have. As for study areas, it seems to be a pretty good place. There is a lot of space. The small window of opening hours doesn't make sense. They are mostly open during work hours. Closed on Sunday... Why? The one day we have most time to come here.

Beautiful building, love the Mitchell Library Was at the pop up Scottish Witches event found it very interesting and really quite sad at the persecution, torture and murder of innocent people tried for witchcraft. Terrible times for herbal healers and ordinary people whom the Church deemed Evil These books and manuscripts can still be seen on the 5 th floor of Mitchell after this event

Great library. The best I have been. This library has a great collection of books and the study room is big and very silent, so you can get the necessary concentration. In addition to this, the architecture of the building is really beautiful and you can amuse yourself admiring the beauty of this landmark of Glasgow. In sum, whether you are a user or a tourist, this library really worths a visit. One of my favourites place of Glasgow.
