::Poor experience from the start. Seated quickly at lunchtime but long wait for someone to serve us even though it wasn't particularly busy. Ordered eggs royale -looked lovely but the poached eggs were stone cold. These were replaced but only after my friends had finished eating. I was told by the waitress that my lunch would be deducted from the bill only for the manager to overrule her and only allow a 20% discount. Can't fault the waitress but very poor customer service from the top. Very disappointing experience. There are lots of great places to eat on central avenue and I will be taking my custom elsewhere in future-poor show Mud Crab!

::I found the food incredibly lacklustre and the cakes we're stale. It's one of those menu's you mull over and nothing quite appeals and then what you do order is generally disappointing. I have only ventured in if other places are too busy, its a shame as the interior is nice and staff are friendly.

::My daughter took me out for an early celebratory Xmas lunch, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I like a quite environment to lunch in; I'm not sure how comfortable this would be when busy. Staff 4 stars. Food 4 stars. Environment 4 at the time. Happy Xmas everyone

::I had visited previously and found the food to be somewhat mediocre but, I decided I would give this establishment a second chance. What first struck me about this place is it's rather tacky attempts to be 'upmarket'. But, scenery aside, the atmosphere was one of the few positives of this place. The entrance door was consistently left open which introduced us to the winter winds of Nottingham even though we had requested it remained closed. Also, we constantly hounded by people going up and down to the bar which was very busy for most of the time. As for food, for starter I ordered the calamari which was very nice but this is, unfortunately, where any positivity surrounding this place comes to an abrupt end. I ordered the rib eye steak which, in complete fairness to the waiter, came on a plate weighing 20kg. So the waiter accidentally spilled the fries (along with the unnecessary mayonnaise splurged over them) on to my phone. I was then promptly offer a free drink and replacement fries. Unfortunately even the free drink was incorrect. As I continued with my steak (which was very rare even though medium rare was requested) I suddenly discovered a large hair on my steak. Upon discovery, I requested a replacement steak however, they had run out. So my meal consisted of onion rings and fries. Whilst this was taken off the bill, I was sorely disappointed and dissatisfied. I recommend that this restaurant/bar/nightclub get the basics right before it tries to over embellish.
