::I took my car in to balance my tyres after making an appointment where they told me on the phone it would take an hour. When I dropped my keys off they said it would take 45 minutes and asked if they should call me and I said I'll be back from the bank soon. After getting back the same person who spoke to me on the phone told me it would take a couple of hours. I asked why when I had been told it would only take an hour, and then he made it sound like I had not heard him say a couple of hours on the phone when he had CLEARLY said otherwise. He then started bickering with me and offered to make a call to the head office to prove his point and when I said yeah ok he never did. Then I asked him to ask whoever was looking after my car about how much longer it would take. He RUDELY told me that I wasn't listening to him and that he was only doing MOTs and he cant move from the area. I asked him if i could speak to whoever was looking after my car and was told the guy had gone on a test drive and shouldn't be long, so I offered to wait in the office. Then I changed my mind after waiting for a short while and asked if I could take my house key from the keyring that had my car keys. I then asked the guy who had given me my key if my car would be ready for 3:45 as I had work to get to and was told that it should be ready by then. After waiting for a call at home, i went back to the garage after 4pm as I hadn't received a call to say my car was ready, I asked to see the manager and the manager turned out to be a Scott Evans, who was the person I was speaking to before. He was a rude and arrogant man who thought he knew it all. When I asked why they didn't call me he told me I hadn't given them my number when i had done when i made an appointment. Then he started arguing with me AGAIN. Another person also told me that all my brake pads were very low when I knew they weren't as I had got two new brake pads a couple of days before! When I pointed this fact out he apologised and said he must have seen wrong. After all that my tyres STILL WERE NOT FIXED so I had wasted my time and money. This was my first and last time at this branch and I would NEVER recommend anyone going there as they lie and give two different information, not forgetting RUDE AND ARROGANT. They might be busy only because there aren't many tyre places in Ashton. I went to another garage the day after who was really helpful and he told me that they shouldn't have tried to balance my tyres anyway as they were out of shape! I have given them one star but they don't even deserve that! I will be making a formal complaint to the head office about the so called manager who was more like a gangster than a manager. No wonder they were only rated 3.7 stars! I wish I had checked before going there. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY. BEST TO AVOID THIS PLACE!

::During my visit I was told that I would have to wait a few hours before my vehicle would be inspected. However, everything was done on my car within 2hours.

::Took our lovely Prius in to National tyres in Ashton. We needed some good tyres. The staff advised we should have some Drive Guard tyres and they have been fantastic! All of the staff are friendly and helpful and the service is efficient. Thanks Guys will definitely be back again and have recommended you to our friends! Julie and Mark Goodwin

::Compulsive lies. Nation Tyres in Ashton employ staff members that are useless with customer service and stand lying to your face just to please you. On 2 occasions I have been in to the garage now and there will not be a 3rd. The first occasion was when my mother took her LR3 in for a simple puncture repair that was supposed to be for free as they where under warranty. The mechanic bumbled around the tyre for a while which by the way had been parked slightly out of view of the office window, and then came in after an hour to say he couldn't do the job because he couldn't pull the last plastic wheel nut cover off and that the nuts used on the car where "a funny size". So after being given a load of bull and back and forth I gave him my own ratchet and socket from the back of the car and said now you can do the job. Apparently he couldn't get the wheel off and that was that we left and went to another garage having wasted over an hour. The next garage did the job in 10 mins however we obviously had to pay for something that was under warranty! I've been to the garage today for wheel alignment. A reasonably simple job I could do at home with the right kit, however.... after taking the car in and having to explain myself to one mechanic over the phone and the one at the desk I was already miffed and could see where this was going. Over the phone I told them what needed to be done and why to which I received " well I've never heard of that before" to which I had the perfect answer "well that's funny because that's exactly what it says on your website" the mechanic then quickly changed subject to avoid embarrassment and said bring the car down. When I'd got there I was told they cannot do the alignment on the car without a hunter system which is also A LIE. I played dumb and went along with the waffle as to why he can't do the job once again and left wondering how many people they mess around and how many people are lied to. After reading the reviews on google and other sites, it appears quite a lot! The car tracking has now been done on all 4 wheels without the help of a hunter system and drives perfect even though I was told the problem I had couldn't be fixed by tacking. These mechanics are arrogant and will not learn to just accept they are wrong and instead are happy to lie to customers, if you are reading this it is perfectly acceptable to simply say that you don't know the answer to my problem or that you don't know how to do a job! If you simply lie to customers they are then going to be wondering if your work is bodged together as much as the words coming out your mouth . A smile wouldn't kill once in a while either!
