::Veggie roast. Very nice and lovely bit Yorkshire pud. Could do with more gravy though.

::Impressive venue on the main road going into bath. There are two parts to the pub, the restaurant part which is spacious and comfortable. There is also the non eating area of the pub which is also comfortable to sit in. Drinks are good value and they have a gin menu which is good for gin lovers. Food menu is large possibly too large. Bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and really make an effort.

::nice atmosphere and good food - BUT BE AWARE - this place stops serving food at random times in the evening. Opening hours and kitchen service are adjusted randomly according to how many guests are there. You can easily end up without any food being served - or getting kicked out!

::I've been here a few times over the past 10 years and the quality varies a lot.. you're never sure what you're going to get and it usually depends on the ownership. For the last few years, The New Inn has always been a safe option for food if we're on the way home from somewhere or we just want a non-expensive meal out. A couple of years ago the food here was especially great and the children's menus were good too (rare!) This time the food was very 'average' - it wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either - it was really no better than I would have cooked at home. As other reviewers have stated it looks to be a new menu which just offers standard pub grub the same as a million other chain restaurants, catering to the lowest common denominator. The children's menu was especially disappointing - as a parent trying to encourage children to eat healthily and make meal times fun it 's pretty hard when a menu offers just chicken nuggets, burgers or mash. To top it off the kids food just looked horrible - ours had chosen burgers - but they looked like they'd just been thrown in a microwave - no effort has been taken to present it all The service was fine... the staff looked like they'd rather be somewhere else but at least they were polite. So as much as we've had good food here I the past - I think we'll leave it a while before venturing here again.
