::Been training here a year. I have 20+ years of martial arts arts experience and have to say this place has blown my mind. The training is a beautiful mix of traditional techniques with an appreciation of modern applications. As a small blonde female it's important to find martial arts training that is both interesting to learn and works in the real world. This does it all. The atmosphere in the dojo is really friendly and I love how how they've provided sofas so the parents can watch the kids train (and get involved if they want to). There are regular bbqs and evenings out for dinner where everyone gets involved, from young kids to grand parents - loads of fun.

::After my previous review we are now more than 2 years further, the atmosphere in the dojo has gone 180°and rapidly downhill, most of the members from the time of my first blog have left, along with myself and my son.Since changing from Hontai Yoshin Ryu to Motoha Yoshin Ryu developments within the club forced me to change my view of the organisation,I do not think I could honestly advise membership of this club to any person.

::My two sons have attended weekly lessons at the North Lakes Jujutsu Association since they were five years old (they are now seven and nine). I am very happy to recommend this association to other parents who may be considering introducing their children to the study of martial arts. My sons' physical fitness and dexterity have improved and their self-confidence has been greatly enhanced. I attribute this to the atmosphere in the well equipped dojo, the regime of training and the attentiveness of chief instructor Sensei Andy McCormack. As a parent (and as a school governor), it is my view that Sensei McCormack has achieved the correct balance of disciplined instruction, mutual respect and fun necessary to allow youngsters to develop both physically and socially.
