  Bought a really nice defender 90 at the market rate, very tidy chassis and even allowed me to stop at my local garage on the test drive so they could have a quick look at it to see if it was worth buying which they agreed it was, they wouldn’t take a penny less than the selling price but I believe I got a bargain, clutch slave cylinder went within a week which they sorted and numerous small jobs needed doing when I got it home such as installing some new bulbs and things but still 18 months on the Defender is going well and I haven’t had any issues, would recommend as long as you don’t expect main dealer levels of customer service whilst also paying less, my advice to the other people complaining on here is if you pay a deposit and then change your mind that’s your own dam fault!! That’s what a deposit is!!

  bought a Defender 110. Full MOT no recommendations. Turns out back half of chassis is rotten , actually described as "dangerous" on previous mot when we chased it up. No response as yet from North West Defenders with refard to compensation ....

  Totally agree with another review regarding deposit. Did some checks on a vehicle that I had put a deposit on & it was quite eye opening what came back, rang & said I would like deposit back, I was told by the owners partner that we could have our deposit back, after numerous phone calls was told by a very arrogant owner that she had got it wrong it’s non refundable, absolute shambles of a place, do not leave a deposit, better still avoid this place at all cost, go to a proper Landrover dealer & pay a bit more at least you will have a honest vehicle & decent customer service.

  Came across as very competent at the beginning but messed up with paper work that delayed my import and cost me hundreds in dock fees. They were so cheap they even sent 2nd class post even though they knew I really needed the log book and every day was costing me a fortune. The car was way more rusty than described. Avoid at all costs

  Went to buy a Defender from these guys, found one I liked agreed a price, paid my deposit (£1000) which was agreed was refundable with the guy I saw on the day. Unfortunately due to a important situation I couldn't get the money together so told them straight up and was told I had lost my deposit as its not refundable (when I mentioned I was told it was, he said that that guy has only worked there a short while and he got it wrong! My fault?) Anyway, its now been about 8 months and they are ignoring my messages and I still haven't received my deposit back!!! Be very cautious when dealing with these guys!
