  Very good collage probably the best eduction you are going to get for a collage in Suffolk the teacher will try to support you to the best of the ability to an exstent the only things I would say is keep on top of your work as if you don't they will KICK YOU OUT! And there's no parking and if you leave your car nearby in the housing estate it may be vandalized as this has happened to 2 of my friends as well having a learning disabilities seem to mean nothing to the staff in terms of work completions and will expect you to hand work in on time with little support from them to help you so if you have learning disabilities it something to be aware of as they don't differentiate between people with learning disabilities or people who are generally just struggling to complete work and people who are generally lazy if you don't complete work you'll be kicked out either way as well not so much the teacher but the other staff can come over really aggressive for example at the start of my time there one day when I was trying to enter College my key card that allows you to enter through the gates was not work it turned out to be because I haven't paid a resource deposit and made me go speak to the person at the front desk about getting it paid and the days before this I hadn't even been informed that it was necessary to pay this and no point was I informed that that was something that needs to be paid so it just seemed to me to be a bit aggressive action that wasn't really necessary considering that most people were find a pair they just didn't know anything about it but but the college as a whole is guilty of doing little things like that which really takes away from the kind of nice inviting atmosphere that the college has overall Sorry if this was written very well I have dyslexia

  The best sixth form college to go to. The staff and teachers are amazing and the premises is fully catering to the courses.

  I studied at suffolk one starting september 2015-16, i left the college in early November 2016 as i was struggling with mental heath conditions an the staff (ppt and student services) were u willing to give me the support i needed (although the subject teachers were very supportive). The college also take sides when people come forward with information based on the background of the person.

  Suffolk One is a disappointment, before you stop reading this thinking I’m just a student that didn’t try my best ill just give you a brief idea on the type of student I am. (During my time at high school at Hadleigh I ended up being head pupil because I wanted to help it to improve the experience for the students, I also completed my DofE Bronze and Silver, competed in many sporting events while also working and getting fairly high grades.) Now for my experience at Suffolk one it was not the best before I joined I actually got told that my subject had been closed and I was doing something else so not a good start, I ended up taking maths, physics, fine art and graphics, these teachers were amazing they honestly did everything they could to try and help me but at the start of the year subjects you take are a lot easier then few months in I was already struggling with maths and physics. Luckily the maths staff helped me to get into a new course core maths which I would suggest for people to take it did make my studying in physics better as it focuses on the maths within other subjects however I was still struggling and I asked to change subjects but I was told I missed the deadline to change and I couldn’t change as I wouldn’t be able to catch up. However at the end of the year after doing all the physic past papers, attending extra session I still failed this is no fault to the teachers it’s the management if you think about it I studied a lot for physics to catch up as I was falling being. Yes catch up exactly what they said I shouldn’t do with a different subject, but this is the thing, if I did a subject I could of excelled at the catching up I put in could of allowed me to excel in the other subject. Wonder if they ever thought of it like that probably not because student well fair is not the main concern of the management its main concern is those students that are excelling, which is fair enough help those students but don’t just cast off those that are struggling, this shouldn’t be run like a business it should be run like an educational facility, however it feels like it’s a factory trying to only produce the best batch of people for society, yet those who are still trying their best but are struggling are considered not worthy of helping so are allowed to fall by the wayside, and not given consideration as they are not going to get Suffolk one additional funding or any accolade. Also it is clear that the communication between the college and the student and their families is somewhat broken, it took a student to write a protest letter to an exam board for the college to write to their Parent yet when the parent responded and made a complaint they have not followed it up, yet teachers of the college are well aware of this protest letter as they have approached him in his place of work and joked that he’s famous at Suffolk One for his comments, I wonder where data protection is in all this, but it is clear gossip is a form of communication that the staff at Suffolk One respond to. I have and my parent has phoned and emailed about the issues with my courses, 3 in total and guess what no response, and no surprise there either, even thought this was what the PPT told us to do and promised a response, communication break down once again, I wonder if a formal complaint to Ofsted would get a better reaction or maybe a protest to the papers like the SENCO department did maybe then Suffolk One management will listen.
