::Oscar is a lively relaxed bar and reaturant in Charlotte Street, part of the Charolotte Street Hotel. Unlike other restaurants and bars associated to a hotel, Oscar has its own distinct ambience that reminds me of New York City. Oscar offers three distinct areas. The first is outside seating, at street level which is great for a quick nibble or drinks on a warm day. The second is seating around the bar area that accomodates between 40 to 60 people offerring a lively atmosphere for drinks. The drink selection including the wines and cocktails is varied and of great quality. The third area is table dinning at the back of the room, which is relaxed but energetic from the buz in the bar area. The service is relaxed, very friendly but professional. I went for dinner at 10:30 PM and they staff where incredibly accomodating and welcoming. The menu is simple and focused on staple fish, meat, poulrty and salad dishes. The steak was lovely and the sides were fresh. The only drawback is prices. Oscar is on the expensive side - like most restaurants in Charlotte Street. Case in point, GBP £5 for a glass of cranberry juice and £20 for a tuna Nicosia salad. Oscar is a great spot for anybody looking for something a little bit special without the formality of other restaurants around the area; and ready to pay for the premium associated with area.

::My boyfriend brought me here and we watched film before the dinner downstairs. It was small but cozy cinema attached to the hotel. I really enjoyed the food and wine, also they brought us little ice cream when the bill came to the table. It’s nice for the special occasion also.

::Generally like this place but be very careful, I paid cash and found that my card I left behind the bar was charged in addition to the cash payment... got the refund back but was hoping for a little more than a 'sorry'
