::Stear clear this place will rob you blind and think nothing of it!!! My partner took our vehicle in for a diagnostic having been there since 13:30 and was told a fan motor was needed to enable the fan settings to work fully (the reason we put the car in) also no mention of a resistor which they went ahead and changed without approval. It was made clear to them that if the fan did did not work we were not happy to go ahead with the job, due to the vehicle age it would not be worth paying hundereds of pounds. My partner checked with the staff that if the part should not work, they would not fit the part or charge for it. The staff were adament that the fan should work even bringing the old motor out to show the state it was in. At 17:03 I get a phone call from my partner saying the work has been carried out but the settings 1 through 4 don't work fully as there is nothing coming through the middle fans Obviously annoyed having paid nearly £400 for the job my partner spoke with a real cowboy called Ross to dispute the fact what was agreed was not fixed. Now this Ross is trying to say the middle fans are a seperate issue and is point blank not willing to accept they are at fault that the job they were asked to carry out is not to the agreed standard refusing to budge after swindling nearly £400 from us Well the diagnostic we asked for and was recommended when I made the repair appointment clearly was not worth the paper it is written on. I was told on making the appointment it is better to have the diagnostic to be sure you fix the correct parts if you are unsure So the job the car was put in for is not sorted and we are left £400 short The fact we specifically asked for a diagnostic first and then verbally stated if the fan did not work we would not be happy to go ahead is beyond unacceptable from such a "reputable" company. My partner asked Ross for his number for me to phone and speak with him direct. The number he gave was for a switch board and they could get no answer from edinburgh peter vardy despite all the numbers that were tried so the call handler resorted in sending the service manager an e-mail. I am now to await a call back. We will be taking this company to court if this is not sorted and it is not an empty threat!

::This is my 3rd car from Peter Vardy and I'm very happy with the service. The sales people are very friendly and helpful. Jordan Moffat was my salesman this time and he was really nice and found me my perfect car

::Before I bought my brand new vehicle from Vardy I read the reviews absolutely slating the customer service. I wish I had paid more attention. I went in last year to make a booking in person for a service and gave up and walked out after 25 minutes. While 3 gormless staff stood about looking like dummies. No one able to book it in while the place was deserted! A month ago I booked it in for a service and an oil leek repair under warranty. Service was done and all good, The oil leek needed a day to repair and was booked for the following week. I took another morning off and when I turned up the following week at precisely the time (9.30 am) agreed I was told to take a seat. after 20 minutes I was told the oil leek was a 5 hour job and they needed it for 2 days to carry out the repair. Yes, it takes Peter Vardy 48 hours to carry out 5 hours of labour and obviously they don't lift a finger after 3pm if they cant do a job scheduled to come in at 10 and only takes 5 hours!!!! They not only couldn't supply me with a courtesy car that day as arranged so no chance the next day they said. So they sent me away with a fresh booking for this weekend. I just phoned to confirm the vehicle is booked and a courtesy car is in place, once bitten and all that - alas, No they are now saying I didn't have a courtesy car arranged purely because I asked if they would do a drop and collect. This is the last straw Peter Vardy. Not going to use you ever again. You wont get to change the oil in this motor. Never mind me buy another from you. In business my motto is simple.....Its easier to keep an existing customer happy then it is to go find a new one. You have failed this customer on every level. Goodbye!

::When I bought a new car, I purposely made sure to not get a Vauxhall so I'd never have to go here again. Dealt with them many times and rarely had a positive experience. + The waiting area is nice.
