::Pets at home is fine if you're looking to buy a few bits for your pet. But NEVER listen to the advice of the staff. The staff there have always told me to put a 75V heat lamp for my 10cm 1year old terrapin. I know that information is incorrect as they can only handle 60V. My mum was pet sitting and went to get him a new lamp. I told her not to listen to the member of staff, but my mum thought that being a member of staff at a pet shop, they must know what they're talking about. So she bought the 75V lamp. 2 hours after the lamp was switched on, our dear tortoise was found dead under the lamp . His body was BOILING hot. Pet shop staff don't have a clue what they're talking about. They have no training with pets. They're told what to say and what to sell. I can't even put in to words the grief that has been caused.

::Warehouse style pet shop. Best to learn about what they stock from their website. My experience is of very pleasent, if young, staff. Bottom line is its a supermarket for pet products, services and pets.

::Good pet shop with also vet instore. Appointments only. Also has reptiles and insects for food upstairs. Plus aquarium section. Small pets for sale. Rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, gerbils... Plenty of parking including 2 disabled spaces next to store. Almost everything for your pets, plus helpful, friendly staff.

::Decent collection of household pet food, toys etc. Also offers an inhouse vet and grooming services. I quite like to go there just to see all the little rodents that they sell. Pricing is on the higher side, but that's to be expected seen as though they are part of a large chain and the size of the premises.
