  The shift manager seemed annoyed at us entering, even more annoyed when we asked if we could use a voucher, his response to that being to sigh and walk off, it turned out, to get the specific menu. This didn’t have drink menus and we were left waiting for a while before I could catch the eye of any waiter to get a full menu and order some wine. The view of the castle is great, and it’s Pizza Express, you’ll get a decent pizza at an ok price, but sadly this particular restaurant didn’t live up to the bare minimum I expect from chains.

  Nice atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful, food is delicious, better to book in advance as it gets busy quickly.

  Excellent service. The staff were a delight & couldn't do enough to help. Food was excellent.

  Nice location right by Castle. Service pleasant (only 1 cook & 1 waitress, hard working). Pizza just fine, pudding poor value for money, coffee good. 2 odd things: served beer (ale) with ice & lemon in glass ? and couldn't change £40 for £27 bill. Cards now expected?.

  The worst pizza express - service is universally awful, it takes ages for the food to come and is often missing toppings. Staff ignore you unless you walk up to the till and actually corner them. As far as I can tell the kitchen staff are great but the waiting staff ruin it. It’s such a shame because every other pizza express I’ve been to has been brilliant.
