::Staff are quite friendly, but all the parcels are left on the shop floor for any customer to take it they fancy. This leaves me feeling concerned about the security of the I have paid to send.

::Couple who own this place are so unnecessarily rude, and they do overcharge. I now go out of my way to go to any other post office. Not worth it.

::I use this place for click & drop services with Royal Mail - it does the job. If you want top-class "polite" behaviour and quick waiting times, go to the regional postal centre. This is a small operation, currently providing for way above its capacity (the entirety of Elm Grove at least). My only issue with the place is its dodgy cash machine, not always secured - but the bank is down the street.

::Electric atmosphere If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s don’t believe what you read on google. Time to pull this rating up from 2.1 stars out of 5. Personally, I’ve never been more excited to enter a post office. Not only is there a wide variety of continental meats at the till, but the postman has great banter. I once went in to exchange my last $10 bill from a trip to America into £6.86 and he rightly pointed out “There’s hardly any point!” We both laughed, I left, and bought a pint with the winnings. More recently I entered this fine establishment to receive a parcel which was apparently being held at the post office following a failed delivery. After explaining the situation at some length, I found the parcel myself, in the somewhat limited storage space and apparently random filing system. I was then charged £0.70 to receive the parcel, at my surprise and enjoyment. The postman claimed the parcel could be a gold bar. I said it certainly weighs enough. We both laughed, and I left. Occasionally the queue actually goes down really fast, and they sell useful things like Learner Driver’s plates. Whenever inside, I’m kept guessing. Will that parcel ever arrive? Hope the eBay buyer stays quiet. Will I still make it to work in time waiting for the postman to separately weigh 6 envelopes? Why is one till closed when there are two employees and a massive queue? It’s the sheer uncertainty of what might happen at Lewes Road post office that makes it such an exciting place to spend up to 45 minutes. I implore you to see this venue in a different light on your next adventure there.

::this post office is a complete shambles! The guy who works here is really rude and I found out when I went to another post office that he's been over charging me to send a package that I send almost every day. If he had done his job properly then he would have realised that my package fitted under "letter" not large letter that he has been charging me for which accounts to about £1.50 extra per package. Unbelievable. Ever since I've been back I've had to tell him over and over again that it's a letter. Basically unless you know exactly how much your package should cost then don't go here.
