  Whilst on a busy road, the rooms are quiet, the bar is friendly, and the food good and reasonably priced. Rooms are good price too, clean and tidy. All in all great place to stay.

  Nice clean room, helpful staff and a decent pub attached for food and drinks. Pub has a play park for the kids. Only draw back no lifts only stairs.

  Had a nights stay here and.having visited numerous premier inns over the years I must say I found this particular one to have the most friendliest and helpful staff so far . As always a nice comfy bed , the hotel was fairly quiet apart from the fire alarms going off at 7.30pm due to a dodgy toaster in the Resturaunt . Breakfast was ok but I found the toaster a pain in the a*#e to negotiate as it couldn't be turned up much due to the risk of setting the fire alarms off , thus a piece of bread had to be passed through the infernal machine at least 4 times at tortoise speed before you could get it remotely brown . We had a couple of drinks in the adjoining pub ( The Whitehouse ) they had a good selection of craft beers & Gin ( wifey had a Whitley Neil Rhubarb) and although the pub was a quite sport orientated with footie on the TV which is not usually my bag tbh , I found it quite a warm and friendly place . We didn't eat in as we had dined elsewhere that evening but the food smelled quite appetizing . The pub staff were also freindly and courteous and we noticed that dogs were allowed in which as a dig owner we always appreciate 5 stars all round methinks 😉

  Rooms up to normal standard and staff at reception extremely polite and helpful. This review is more about the overall B&B experience. The breakfast was atrocious, basil faulty would have been embarrassed. The food was cold apart from the one thing we asked to be cold which was hot; how hard is it NOT to grill a tomato - my daughter just wanted one sliced in half and not grilled, it came out grilled. My wife's poached egg was the size of a spoon, there was a teaspoon sized portion of bubble and squeak each. The gluten free option consisted of baked beans and eggs, fortunately they also had two slices of gluten free bread. The service was atrocious, over 40 minutes before they took the breakfast order and when we complained about the food the waitress became borderline rude.
