::Currently in my third year of study for Film and Media at QMU and I don't regret one day of it. As someone who didn't have a film reel or any real experience before entering university this course has given me a chance to make content I can be proud of: from short films to news stories to promotional content for real life businesses. Film and Media is a bit more theory heavy than a fully practical course, but for me this basis has helped to understand the complexities of the world we live in and will create content for. The Film part teaches good understanding of filmmaking, while the Media part prepares you for a variety of roles you can take after graduation. A well balanced course and exactly what I looked for three years ago!

::I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience in my course so far. I am a second year Film & Media student and have found the course to be very diverse in module's , offering knowledge and experience in different fields of Film and Media (not just the production side). I feel that even the less interesting modules have been beneficial to my future career pursuits. Enthusiastic lecturers and great atmosphere, I recommend to anyone interested in any film related career.

::Having spent 4 great years at this university, I can only recommend film enthusiasts who are thinking of getting into higher education to give QMU a go! The course provides an excellent balance between the critical study of the film and media industries and practical studies including filmmaking, and photography. The Film and Media course is full of tutors, who know your name and are happy to stop and have a chat with you about anything. Having just shot my Dissertation short film, I realize the foundation I have gained here and I am confident in my future. I also really enjoyed the academic side of the course which just made me a better filmmaker.

::Great University with an excellent Film and Media course where in currently finishing my 3rd Year. Good balance of theoretical and practical in the first two years of the course followed by a variety of different options and pathways for career development within 3rd and 4th year; may that be practical, focused on a specific topic and craft or theoretical with plenty of options for your dissertation. Teaching staff is very passionate and are always happy to help and help you develop ideas. Good with communication and really take your ideas on board when developing modules. Good location with a small but vibrant community on campus and especially within classes.

::It's an incredible university. Very small but has a really cosy feel. The staff are responsive and care about your education. Film and media has been a blast as I have been given many opportunities for work. The course does involve more theory than some would like because it is a university degree. I would highly recommend.
