::The rooms are pretty small, some smaller than others (I could barely fit my luggage in the room, had no cupboard and space to hang 3 coats) and they need some upgrading (I believe some of the rooms have already been upgraded though.) I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful which was nice as I had just moved to the city. All in all, I found it to be slightly cramped. But I didn't intend to spend all my time in the room and the friendly gestures made my stay pleasant. For the average price per night I can't complain too much and if I get the chance too look at the new rooms I'll update my rating accordingly. 5/5 Staff (Feels like a 5 star hotel service) 3/5 Room (Building age considered, could still do better, cupboards, hanging space and a chair should be a standard) 2/5 Luxury (Chairs in lounge area are falling apart, beds need replacing and walls could do with some repainting) (Based on value for money) Summary: Good place to stay if you're on a budget.

::Absolutely dire. Rude staff, place is in need of a major overhaul and breakfast consisted of sofa cereal, rolled up ham and a babybel unless you want to pay a further £9 per person for a small cooked breakfast. Not impressed.

::Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Lovely wee room. Handy to have a small fridge in the room. Only downfall was being on the 4th floor which was a struggle for my partner who has arthritis in his knees. Would definitely stay here again as the location couldn't have been more central.

::A comfortable hotel, handy for visiting Glasgow. There are rather a lot of steps so not suitable for everyone. We had one of the new rooms on the fourth floor, compact and suitable for a short break. Staff are lovely and very helpful as well as knowledgable. Breakfast was more than enough with an excellent choice. Would return for a short stay.

::Lovely hotel all done out with Rennie MacIntosh decor. Great location, beside Central Station. Nice staff. Really good breakfast freshly cooked. Only downsides are there is no lift and a few undesirables hanging about outside at all hours - one tried to get in the security door once we'd passed through but we were aware of, and prepared for his intentions. Otherwise, a good place to visit an amazing and diverse city.
