  We came here for my recent birthday and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was incredibly cosy and inviting, and the wonderfully charming and welcoming staff added so much to that. There was a birthday card waiting on the table, signed by the staff, such a lovely touch! The food was very special: well conceived, nuanced, interesting flavours and beautifully presented. Some friends were traveling up from London for the occasion and got delayed, Alex and co. could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back, probably very soon!

  Went with a group of friends and we all went for the 7 course taster menu which was just brilliant. The food will blow you away and the staff were friendly and helpful. Book here quickly before word gets out.

  Excellent food, excellent service. A lunch is affordable luxury. I would only recommend the owners to change some items of crockery to the more stylish ones so that they aesthetically match the beauty of the place (it's just a bit odd that you have exquisite black plates and very mediocre sugar-bowls).

  Lovely 7 course tasting menu in this newly refurbished restaurant. A big improvement on days of old. Superb beef with morels main dish. Lovely onion velouté. Good front of house team finding their way.

  We had the five course taster menu and it was excellent. We wondered what could possibly beat the beef course and then came the desert... The peanut parfait was by far the single best desert I have had in my 31 years! The staff were lovely and attentive, a must visit when in Cambridge.
