Great get away, fantastic evening meal and breakfast... Pool could do with a revamp but apart from that great staff, rooms and food.

Know this place well. Typical family run rural hotel but has extras like pool , cricket ground and outside self catering villas. Popular with fishing and walking groups. Child friendly and great staff. Food always tasty with great choice for all. Can host events too. Well worth visiting

We had superior room over looking the cricket pitch. Large bathroom with the free standing bath and a seperate water fall shower. The staff are really helpful and the food excellent, with a varied menu which we are told changes every night.

Nice place and food very good. Rooms large and clean if a bit old fashioned. Pool was not working when we arrived but got fixed. Lovely old town around the hotel.

Lovely hotel, bit disappointed when we walked into the lobby, was expecting something grander...all it would need maybe is a wooden or stone floor and not carpet. We had a superior double room, which overlooked the beautiful grounds to the rear and had a little balcony - could have done with a nice bistro table and chairs. The bed was comfortable but again could be improved upon with either a beautiful frame or at least fixed headboards to the wall (was not impressed with the neighbours headboard banging their wall whilst they were at it.) Never had the chance to try the pool / spa as it was temporarily closed for maintenance... The bar was great, people seemed to be enjoying their pub lunches, which all looked great. The restaurant far exceeded my expectations, myself and my wife both ordered a fillet steak, honestly fantastic! They both had more resemblance to a beef joint - served with propper home cooked chips, probably one of the best I've had! Breakfasts were great, plenty of choice! All the staff in the hotel were really friendly I look forward to going back!!
