::Had a trip around various pottery factory shops in north Staffordshire this week. I always end up buying something from Royal Stafford even if I just went to look with someone else. The pottery shop is full of good stuff any time of the year, I will be back to buy more so if your in the area pop in and have a look at the stock they have for sale.

::Just visited 4 factory/outlet shops in Stoke and the Poole Pottery & Royal Stafford shop in the middle of Burslem was BY FAR the best value. There's only a small range but some nice pieces in both modern and older designs. We got some botanical-print teacups and saucers, which were similar to ones we'd seen elsewhere at £5, for 50p. Dinner plates were less than £2. Large coffee pots were £7.50 (over £30 elsewhere). The sales lady was lovely and even gave my daughter a little free gift. No car park but plenty of metered on-street parking outside at 45p for 30mins or 90p for an hour. Will go again.
