  Aa a young woman working in Manchester. I n the late fifties and early sixties I went to Mass here on Holy Days and during Lent. In my lunch time. A beautiful Church tucked behind busy Streets. A parishioner of Our Lady Of Grace Prestwich at that time.

  I visited the Hidden Gem many years ago when I worked in Manchester and before I was married. What a wonderful spiritual experience.

  I'm not a chatholic i go to salvation army but Love this little church it is so peaceful from the hustle and bustle outside could stay there for hours. A friend of mine that was born in Manchester but was sent to live in Thornton Cleveleys when he was a young boy took me there years ago, i always like to try and pop in and light 4 candles 1 each for my Dad,Mum 1 for my friend since he died and 1 for another friend.   I was invited to light a candle in St Mary's during my visit to the Christmas Markets last night. I was directed to this hidden gem by a lovely gentleman with a lantern, who explained the history of the church before leaving me in peace to light a candle and say a prayer for a loved one. The interior is absolutely beautiful with a lovely calm atmosphere, we'll worth looking for on a trip to Manchester. I wish I could have stayed longer......
