    To be honest it wasn't entirely the cashier's fault that she spent 10 minutes talking to her colleague about the price of fish whilst I waited patiently - if I'd have known she was on duty I would have grabbed her attention earlier, then again she might have looked in between her boring chat how the queue was building up. My main gripe is that I needed a print out for a visa application. I usually ask for this at Manchester branch, which is welcoming and accommodating. Unfortunately at this Huyton branch the computers says, 'NO', and the cashier gives a wry grin at having the power to refuse a very easy request. My advice: go next door to Halifax, the cashier, Leanne, gives a great service, no job too difficult.

    I've had my Santander business account for 3 years, never had a single phone call or review since I started despite paying in thousands, to top it off paid in £600 on Saturday where the Machine chewed it up, I was told they would rectify and sort my money on Monday, was then told they cannot prove how much I've paid in and it will have to go to head office - no phone calls since, no sign of my money - bad service. Steer clear

    Never had a problem with the branch. Friendly staff, 123 account is excellent and the mortgage rates are also good. I've recommended them to my parents and sisters. I have accounts with Lloyds and NatWest, both are ok, but this is better. I had one with Halifax, next door, which was a terrible bank (but the staff were friendly)

    Worst Customer Service of any Financial company that I have experienced. I am closing all my accounts with them, and transferring to other companies. I have experienced this poor service at both local branch and at national levels. I am currently awaiting the results of an official complaint I made against them with the Financial Ombudman Service.
