  First visit - and I walked straight past it, it’s so small. Tiny shop with a big selection of beers, lots of local stuff and a good selection of German, Belgian and other imports. Not supermarket-cheap, but this is a city centre shop with a good selection and the ‘3 for £8’ and ‘3 for £10’ deals are actually very reasonable (cheaper than the Penny Lane Londis, for a lot of stuff). Expect I’d be a regular visitor if I lived locally.

  Expensive for what you get, compared to buying from the web, but you pay extra for the face to face service. The two staff members where very friendly and helpful and they had the beer that I wanted in stock. Extra £1 for a cardboard display carrier

  Best shop in Liverpool! If you are a beer-afficionado of course. Wide selection of local ales, several brands of European beers and probably the only place in Merseyside where you can buy decent Imperial Stouts and Porters.

  It's always nice to have a trip at the ship in the bottle, they have so many beers you always find something different, and everything I tried was really good quality so far
