::My experience here was alright. Staff are all really nice and helpful, accommodation is also pretty well looked after (mainly Deanery.) I did the Indie Game dev course which was the main reason why I chose this uni as this course isn't really found elsewhere. Now, for some reason during the welcome week they assured you didn't need programming experience to do well etc as they'll teach you a lot from the basics. Well, that didn't really happen, in the first few lectures we end up diving into creating a game in C++... which to me isn't basic (considering C++ is one of the more difficult programming languages.) So that made me stress out and tutors weren't too helpful with that. They were nice though. They also did this 'independent learning scheme' which I think is BS, I think it's just a way of saying "we'll sit back while you do all the work, and we'll take a good portion of your tuition for this basic a** teaching, providing no help, just badly made powerpoint presentations that you could easily find online!" so yeah I ended up dropping out a few months after. The students that come here are generally nice, but beware you're gonna get quite a lot of trashy people due to low entry requirements (particularly in accommodation!) Other than that, facilities are good, the Spark building is really nice and staff are nice too. Accommodation was ok but it'd be great if I didn't wake up with silverfish on me! Southampton as a city is nice, but if you're going from somewhere like Manc/Bham/Ldn I wouldn't recommend it :s

::One of the best equipped library I have ever been to. Very good collection of books. I was very impressed with the architecture and facilities available in this library. Every student's delight.
