::For the 1st time I had a very good experience with SBI. They don't respond over phone but still they are helpful if you are there in person. I have been there for change of address and conversion of Indian savings acc to NRO and the staff were Extremely helpful! Special Thanks to Amirijit kaur, she was very polite! Also, the new Branch is really nice, neat and posh! Keep up the Good work!

::Opened an ISA account due to promise of decent rates. Ever since, I wish I hadn't. Online access doesn't work; phone doesn't work; fax doesn't work; e-mail....doesn't work. Eventually had to write....got a call back saying they don't usually deal with post! Nothing has worked with SBI UK and I'm now struggling to get my money returned to the account from which it came. It seems to require 37 different security checks. Pathetic. Oh, and by the way, the interest rate was unilaterally reduced almost as soon as the account was open.

::Customer Service is dirt pathetic! The guys there dont even know the ABCD of how to behave. 2 months to open an account. I told tata and got an account at Lloyds in a day. Ashamed that they represent an Indian Bank. Update - Never use SBI UK card for any transactions other than withdrawing money. I used it in a POS and got refund from a vendor. Its been 3 weeks and till now bank has not credited this to my account! And how bloody arrogant are the customer care and the Branch reps! Amazing how people still go there!

::Brilliant branch. Good people. Avoid Saturdays because on the day it is generally crowded by Tata employees of Indian origin, who come with big head and huge hygiene issues.
