  Rooms were really cold, bathroom outside the room for one of the rooms I booked. The facilities and amenities were very very basic and fell far below the quality what I expected for the money we paid. None of the rooms had a wardrobe and had to hang coats and clothes behind the door. This is probably acceptable for a £20 room, not a £70+ room.

  Expensive for the facilities provided. WiFi didn't connect. £10 for breakfast, very cold room, heater didn't work properly. Good location for chanonry point. But not cheaper than staying in the city of Inverness. Not worth.

  Wasn't impressed, the building is very tired in need of some attention and the food was average.

  This really is an odd place. The food is superb. The staff that are actually on site are brilliant, if stressed. Restaurant chairs aren't bad, but the tables look like they've come from either a school canteen or junk shop. The first bedroom we were put in was next to a very noisy extractor fan. Shower didn't work, and the sink tap leaked all over the floor! Big room (twin, although we had made it clear we wanted a double). Nowhere to hang clothes, no desk, tiny TV, cheap mattresses - could feel every spring. Had to boil kettle on the floor!!! Room wasn't properly cleaned, either. Replacement room only slightly better. At least it was a double bed. Could still feel all the springs. Nowhere to hang clothes again - the additional single bed took up all the spare space. No desk. Had to boil kettle on the floor again. Shower worked, though! Nice big one, too. WiFi is NOT available in all public areas as advertised. Never saw owners. This is probably half the problem with the place. They have no idea what it is like to stay in. If refurbished 6 years ago as claimed, it was done on a very small budget. Place is tired and dilapidated. Which is a shame, because with a little care and attention, it could be fantastic. There are no staff on the premises except when the bar is open (5-10ish) and breakfast. A cleaner does come in later. But that is it. There are notices all over the place with phone numbers to ring if you have any problems!!! Would highly recommend the food, but nothing else.
