  Usually good experience at this store, but a bit ridiculous on Sundays... Let you in about half an hour before 10am official opening, but tills system starts to work just at 10 exactly - so that customers queuing up having no idea what's going on (system breakdown?). Staff leisurely walking around, no-one explains unless directly asked. Number of foreigners confused as well. People leaving their items at the tills and walking away 5 minutes before system starts to work... On the other hand - happened to me last year here - they prevent customers to enter the store at quarter to 4 when the official Sunday's closing time is scheduled...

  Three times now we have gone to get hot cooked chicken for our lunch only to be told by the same woman that it will be 20 minutes for the portions or 40 for the whole ones. We go around lunchtime 11.45 being the earliest. We travel around the south with our work and have never had the same problem with any other tesco. Why can't this person think ahead and have it ready by 11.30 at the very latest as this is most are thinking about lunch? We have now decided to avoid this one and make the extra journey to abingdon where we know we can get what we want.

  it was never great but it used to be a whole lot better. If it wasnt cheap I doubt anyone would go. The main problems are; too many products crammed into too little space; very unhelpful staff sometimes; self-service checkouts constantly malfunctioning; quite dirty; feels like a 3rd world supermarket

  Not the biggest Tesco's you can find but a very nice shop with a good range of products and very competitive prices. The car park is massive you should easily find a place to park.
