  Good food and wide selection of beer, in what is a really lovely building. It's original art deco (I think) with wood paneling and a revolving door. It's a Green King pub, so the food is what you'd expect from a chain. Don't expect home cooked chef's specials. Often shows sport and is quite busy, so not always idea for a quiet drink. There is a side room where they serve afternoon teas, but also has a couple of screens, for watching sport. A back room contains a pool table, or maybe two. Good for watching the Six Nations, but arrive early or book a table if you want to watch the game. An odd thing to report is that the urinals are really nice, probably original, and quite fancy looking. So luxury peeing too.

  As a transplant resident from the US, this is my favourite traditional pub in West Bridgford. The atmosphere is quaint, comfortable, and traditional. Bar is well supplied with local ales and if there is a match on, there is a huge projection screen in the back. Definitely worth a visit.

  This place as character, really nice . Parking is limited if you're not a local. Toilets are clean and tidy Drinks where served at the right temperature as I don't like ice in my drink. Food was nice and not over priced. Been a few times. Would recommend you try this old pub.
