::We were shown our seats promptly and drink orders taken. Shortly after our food order was taken. The food arrived and looked good, however, after a quick taste I found most of the veg on both meals was cold with only the gravy adding warmth. The food was exchanged without fuss and tasted fine. At the end of the meal I had requested the bill but was left sitting for ages. I went to go to the bar to pay and was thanked for custom, and asked if all was ok. Only when I asked for the bill again did we get sorted. Apparent internal miscommunication with someone thinking someone else had seen to us. Had the second serving of food been served first, all would have been well. Sadly, a little disappointed.

::Very welcoming pub and good service. 8 of us had a mothers day meal 4 had the roast beef and all said it was tough. While I accept this can sometimes be the case it would help if steak knives were supplied.

::Had a beautiful meal tonight with family. Lovely surroundings. Food was beautiful again. Excellent service and atmosphere. One of my favourite places to eat.

::Great place for both food and just a drink. If you picture a good old couple try local, you would be on the right lines. Great place in the warmer weather as they have an outside seating area which backs onto the canal where you can sit and watch the barges chug by, or even take a leisurely stroll along the canal banks. The ambiance is friendly, warm and inviting, lots of locals frequent this place and you can relax in front of the log fire when it's on. Always been a good experience when we visit. The menu is standard and the food is that which you would expect in terms of local 'pub grub'. Really like visiting here.

::Nice area, within a cosy setting. Right next to the canal for scenic outdoor sitting. The food is reasonably priced and well made. Great place to watch the match and have a pint, as well areas for people who are there just for food. Due to the pub being split up, where you most distinguish the regulars and the new comers. Their are rest rooms, and easier access for disabled comers as disabled spots a right next to the main entrance. Easy access from the A449 and from other areas as the m54 is a mile down the road. Behind the golf club and parking is free and of a reasonably large size.
