::Friendly and attentive service within a lovely setting. A truly local pub which successfully manages to cater to regulars and visitors alike. A cosy atmosphere within the main bar area, set amidst a 17th century building. Both dog friendly and welcoming to families, this was a great place to sit, chat and eat. If you're hungry, the Feta and Bacon & Halloumi salads are recommended; both were both very tasty and came in impressive portions sizes! The seafood pasta with mussels was also very filling with a rich and tasty creamy sauce. Both variants of the Moules (starter and main) were excellent. Ale on tap included Timothy Taylor's, Old Peculiar and Hooky Gold (local). Lagers on draught were Kronenbourg 1664 and Foster's. So good we went back on the return trip... I forgot to ask about the ghost though. Damn.

::Quiet canal side pub with a comfy, cozy atmosphere. Really great food and a good range or beers, wines & spirits including local beer on tap. Friendly staff who can't do enough for you but don't hovver over you. Highly recommended.

::The Brasenose is a breath of fresh air for those who dislike the corporate makeovers. It is a no-nonsense real pub with great, friendly staff. Oh, and do my ears deceive me or do i hear Hawkwind on their music system?!

::Lovely pub. Great selection of food and drinks. Private dining area. Massive garden and homemade conserves and snacks with an honesty box. Also has sheltered smoking area, but no heat lamp
