::The Bridgewater hall positions itself at the premium concert hall experience in Manchester, and with good reason. The acoustics are excellent and I have enjoyed every performance I have been to here - last time we went to watch Jaws accompanied by the Czech philharmonic, were sat right at the back but didn't miss any of the intricacy of the wonderful score. If memory serves there are three bars here too, which partially mitigates the rush at interval time.

::Visited for the first time so that my wife could see the Whitney Houston tribute show. The venue is lovely with a beautiful well seated auditorium. So disappointed that we left after enduring the first half. Now I love loud music but the sound was terrible. Very shrill, with a lot of echo. This was very unpleasant and drowned out the wonderful concert orchestra and singer. I think this was due to the poor speakers and/or mixing. We were seated in the circle - perhaps the stalls would have been better. You can get a better experience listening to a concert recorded live, same artist, same songs, on YouTube. So sorry for having to post such a low rating. Most of the audience seemed to like it though! But, I have hear and read similar comments.

::Modernist concert hall. Good location, short stroll to the city centre too. Best described as a smaller version of Birmingham's Symphony Hall, except with acoustics that don't necessarily suit all musical styles. That may be down to a poor sound engineer on the desk : More visits will decide ! Otherwise, recommended. Ample toilets and refreshment areas too.

::Attended the venue for a BBC Philharmonic concert. It is a fantastic auditorium for such an event. The acoustics are superb. There were plenty of helpful ushers around to ensure you find your seat. Drinks were waiting, as ordered, for the interval. Transport links are great whether bus, train or tram. There's also plenty of parking nearby, but its not cheap. There's a number of good restaurants within walking distance. All in all a brilliant venue for musical events.

::Excellent venue. It has a great sound quality. The staff are really helpful and friendly nothing is a problem. There are three bars one on each floor. You can get tea and coffee and and hot and cold food. The venue is really good. You get a good view where ever u sit. And because the seats are stacked your view isn't blocked. This was my first time and I would go again
