  This is the best hotel I have stayed in so far in the UK. I have been travelling all over Europe for eight months in my latest job and this was the nicest, friendliest, most English looking pub/hotel I have stayed in so far. Everything was perfect. Staff, food, beer, location, room, bed, bathroom. And it has a plaque stating the first ever Gardeners Question Time was from here 70 years ago. Factoid for you. Brilliant.

  A very good local that provides all a pub should. Entertainment at the weekends, a choice of menus and good hand crafted beers, friendly staff and a good atmosphere throughout. A good traditional pub with excellent hotel accommodation. Has meeting and function rooms available so all in all fits a number of requirements.

  We stopped here while on our honeymoon - this place was absolutely fantastic. The staff was honest, helpful, and direct. The pub downstairs had great food, and the room we had was spacious with extremely comfortable beds. We absolutely would come back here - this was our favorite stop so far on our honeymoon.
