  Great shop with great service. The guys in here make it a fantastic shopping experience. I got a few pairs of their Loakes for work and they are perfect, good quality, hard wearing. Highly recommended.

  A great place to get your footwear. Always welcomed with a handshake and a beverage of your choice. Attentive and diligent staff ensure you are well looked after. The shoes and boots are very well made and hard wearing. Initial price may seem high but when you account for the quality and comfort they are exceedingly good value.

  As ever it was an absolute pleasure to visit the store. Every time I'm in a town which has a Loake store, I have to visit. Every time I'm greeted as a member of the family. Robert, Bryan and Rhonan were the perfect hosts, giving fabulous service, polishing up boots that weren't even their product and giving great advice on how to keep my shoes in tip-top condition. On top of that we had a dram, chocolates, and even a sip of 25-year old rum from a fellow customer. When my family arrived to chivvy me along, they were greeted with just as much enthusiasm and given a warm good bye when I was finally dragged out of the shop. This is why I will only ever buy Loake shoes for business, formal and casual wear.

  Simply the best service that I have ever experienced bar none. Both Robert and Bryan (sorry if that’s the wrong spelling) know there trade in and out. The attention to detail in ensuring your walking out with the correct shoes is incredible. For me this is a shop that I will be returning to over and over again. Five minutes prior to my walking in. I had walked out of Church’s on George Street. Overlooked on walking In by an assistant who, was far to busy chatting up two girls who walked in and left without purchasing. £550 mistake that one. However I couldn’t thank him enough for ensuring my long term customer to Loakes of Edinburgh. Thanks Guys absolutely best service ever Worth the money, quality shoes. Regards Mark

  Very good shoes. After I bought them I found out that there are some tiny flaws on the shoes. The staff explained to me that it's very normal because it's handmade. I accepted it at the end. However, there is only one thing that makes me feel not very happy. The staff said that no one has ever reported the same problem on the shoes like me. To me it seems that he thinks me a picky costumer, which I certainly don't agree with. Overall they are patient and polite, and I am happy with the purchase. Maybe next time I have to check thoroughly on the shoes before I buy them.
