::The kitchen has certainly got their act together but the service we had tonight was poor. Got our order wrong twice and were just very hard to get hold of when you needed them. Fair play for having a go at brewing their own real ale but it really isn’t anything special. I wouldn’t rush back.

::Fantastic food and beer. Very friendly staff. Sunday roasts are lovely. Recent refurb makes this place difficult to beat. Best pub in Highgate - it can he quite busy so book to avoid disappointment

::Another place where they think they know better than I do if a, I wanted crystals of salt on my fish and b, that I don't have high blood pressure and need to avoid salt on medical advice, what is it with chefs? Salt is NOT a garnish!

::Fantastic pub!!! Has a great range of beers on offer and food menu is comprehensive if you just wanted a light bite or a full meal. Love the chicken wings here, winner ever time. The have quiz night on Monday, wing Wednesday, brunch on Saturday and are always busy for the Sunday roast (book ahead). Staff very friendly and polite.

::You can't really fault the effort put in to make this pub excellent 7 days a week. What is compelling is that the management has clearly targeted being busy for all three sittings on weekends and seven nights of the week with attractive sweeteners to pull in punters. 2017 update- upgraded to 5stars due the outstanding food and drinks served. Beer phenomenal! Brewed on site by passionate brewers.
