  Lovely meal in a large group, service was fantastic and food was excellent value for money. Would recommend to all friends and family.

  Love it here, always crowded, but good beers on tap. Food is great too.

  Food was nice as expected at price point but offering of ales was poor just a selection along the IPA/light bitter lines but no dark ales porter or stout other than Guinness.

  Fantastic pub and restaurant. Quite small inside as a lot of floor space is given up to the restaurant. If it's warm there's loads of room outside which is really good. The restaurant food is excellent. Not particularly cheap but really decent pub food. Sunday roast is amongst the best in Albans. Choice of beers is excellent too! Doesn't attract the under 30s much. Which is a good thing if that's the kind of night you want.

  A nice pub with (by the looks of it) a real fire. Very friendly bar staff and a good range of bottled beer but the real ale on tap was only 3 or .4
