  Consistently great service, a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Been coming for years and well for years to come. Highly recommended for a trip to Blackpool

  When in Blackpool always go for one meal at the cottage . First time back in two years. Will be the last food poor standard . pies dry chips almost cold. Given one star for cold drinks. ±++++++++++Thanks for taking the time to reply to my review. 1St my wife complained to the waitress who took our plates away did not return i then asked different waitress for the bill I paid walked away. As for a award winning butchers pies must been up against poor butchers award utd award.+++++++++

  Food was ok even tho the restaurant was freezing no heating on everyone sat in a cold room with coats on we told them . They replied well it's cold everywhere never eaten anywhere so cold . Food went cold too . Won't eat here again. By the way i am a builder and no when heatings on and off and all about old buildings if that's your answer it's not very good was in the week before also but had takeaway you need to look after your customers all sat with coats on

  I am sad to give a one star! I have been going to this chippy for years.Yet tonight they served coffee that was stone cold, apparently the coffee must of been left off the hot plate, not a problem. Then a short grey wavy hair was in my dinner. I discreetly asked if my meal could be replaced, the staff member commented “that’s funny as the cook is a male”, she made no attempt to say sorry, making me feel intimidated as if my fault! The ‘lady ‘who was doing the frying then came round the corner to stare at us, again no apology. No one cooking was wearing head nets or hats. I have never felt so uncomfortable, paid the bill and left. It’s a shame as I have some nice memories eating in this establishment but will not be returning again! I understand these things can happen and would of overlooked it if the staff had better customer service manners.

  Last time I visited The Cottage was over 10 years ago.... Loved it then, and wasn't disappointed this time. Great food, great service, great venue.
