  Food was not bad, but very average, which given the price was disappointing. Service was fairly good and the pub is a nice place to be. Fried items were very greasy and the croque-monsieur contained thin ham roll, which for £7 was disappointing.

  Needs more serving staff, though those there were fantastic. Food very good. Not child friendly.

  Will share a picture of the food I was served. Defiantly gone downhill from last visit. Such a shame and will not be coming back. Burger dry, salad in burger not much and not fresh. Friends burger bun burnt on top. Served with a handful of deep fryed greasy crispy chip bits. Very slow service waiting over half hour and was not busy. After complaining they did refund one of the burgers.

  2 years ago this was one of my favourite pubs. Just had the second disappointing lunch in a row there. Won't be going back a third time. Bacon sandwich had bacon that was so tough it was almost impossible to eat, I wouls guess it wasn't cooked to order. Fish sandwich was greasy. Salad on plate was wilted. Third dish was totally out of proportion. Even with the extra bowl of chips I ordered the 2 wafers of bread left me with half a bowl of dip left.
