  Proper pub, not a pretentious Gastro pub - no Farrow and Ball in sight. Open fire, real locals, dog friendly and good food. Staff are excellent.

  Wonderful historic pub with delicious food. Call them in advance because the cook doesn't cook every day....

  We popped here on a quiet weekday afternoon for a pint while driving around the area and found it to be a nice pleasant pub (dog friendly!). We would definitely visit again!
