  We went there for my friend's 54th birthday last night. We were a group of 14 people (not teenagers, well behaved adults) having a lovely time when all of a sudden, for no obvious reason we are being told that they don't want to serve us anymore! The manageress took an executive decision, but couldn't explain it, saying first it was for a reason, then when proved it wasn't true it was another reason.... Anyway, they had no issue with taking our money to start with but then the manager decided to kick us all out! This ruined my friend's birthday and wasn't justified at all. So all I would say is, if you want to celebrate a birthday with a big group, don't go there because your night could be ruined by a manageress who wants to feel in power! I know I will never go back there. Very rude people, appart from the young security guy who knows us well (some of us are regulars of this pub) and fully disagreed with his boss decision but had to I his job!

  A reasonable priced pub for alcohol and food. Friendly, helpful staff. 😊

  If you're used to J D Wethspoon pubs you'll probably find this one a bit on the small side compared to others. Typically it is in an good location on the edge of Arnold town centre. It was one of the earlier pubs in the chain to open and the decor is looking a little dated now. However I would be reluctant to give any Wetherspoon's a rating of fewer than four starts because of their philosophy of attempting to provide excellent value for money.

  Nice spoons, surprised there is no Sunday roast, not sure if this is a spoons wide thing. Nice staff and quick service.

  I rated this place 5 stars some months back but the food we purchased on the last two visits (brunch, chicken wings) was simply awful. It seems this chain of eateries cannot offer consistently good food. On the plus side the staff are usually welcoming. Old food under the only table available was a tad off putting as well. Damned shame because in the past we rated them highly.
