  We were there yesterday. 3 of us ate sirlion roast. 3 of us are sick. Headache, vomiting, diaherrea for £72. My daugther ate cheeseburger, she is fine.

  Charming old building but the downside to that is people walking up & down the stairs can be a little disruptive to sleep. Other than that, we had an excellent meal and the staff were very friendly & helpful.

  Visited yesterday as I was treated to afternoon tea by a friend. It was quiet when we visited but I imagine you would receive the same great service has they been busy. We were shown to our table and the food was absolutely beautiful. On the stand was 4 sandwiches each (which was plenty), 2 latge warm scones each and 4 cakes each! As I don't drink hot drinks I was able to change my option to a cold drink. The interior is furnished beautifully and they are the home of over 400 different brands of gin! The afternoon tea was bought using a Groupon voucher but we would have happily paid full price for it. Staff were really accommodating. There is a small amount of parking outside but if that is full there are plenty of side streets to park in and Woodstock is small enough to walk around in a matter of moments anyway!

  We live locally and booked a meal in the restaurant. A relative had kindly purchased a £150 gift voucher to perk me up after I had undertaken a year of chemotherapy including a stem cell transplant. We had a nice meal, the bill came to £107. I presented the voucher in payment and asked for the difference of £43 to go on a voucher so that we could come back and use this remainder. I knew I would not be offered cash or a refund because it set this out on the back of the voucher, the total value had to be spent at the Feathers. The restaurant manager refused to provide a voucher for the balance, spending a good 10 minutes arguing this point, before then eventually providing the voucher! This experience totally ruined our evening, we really don’t feel like going back at all now. His attitude was so petty! Family and local friends have been outraged on our behalf!
