  Closed the door in my wife and I’s face at four minutes to six on a Sunday afternoon. We only wanted a pint and allegedly open till 10pm. Please explain.

  Small friendly pub with a good selection of beers. Great place to come after a long walk.

  About 8 months ago my wife and I visited this Pub, it had great food and friendly staff and was just a nice cosy place. We visited this pub again a week ago and took my Mum with us this time, and it was like a different pub - the food was average and over priced and the service was poor... it was like we were an inconvenience to them!

  Went today for lunch and I'm delighted I did .Have been several times before but only for bar food and drinks. Its a beautiful quaint pub with rooms leading off the bar and also a restaurant. Sat in the bar area with a wonderful open fire. I had the soup of the day and also the game pie..Both were fabulous..The service is excellent with a team that are eager to please. Its a long time since I have enjoyed such good hearty cooking. Would highly recommend this gem ..But don't spoil it for the locals.

  Lovely cosy country pub. We came in late just for drinks and were made to feel welcome straight away. As a couple in our group had birthdays we asked if we could bring in a cake and where happy when we were told we could. Nice selection of drinks and the menu looked good even though we didn't eat this time.
