  Nice pub layout for dining. Went for Sunday lunch but was disappointed with cold plates and soggy looking veg. This pub is attempting to be more gastro but needs more attention to detail. The desert menu consisted of victoria sponge cake or ice cream and that was it ! The waitress was a lovely girl but her chipped nail varnish rather detracted from the up market attempt. At the moment it's just pub grub so don't expect any posh nosh. It is quite edible though and £15 for 3 courses is reasonable.

  I missed the food cutoff when I went but the lady tending bar was friendly and I stayed for a drunk. The other men at the bar were very personable and I enjoyed my time there!

  *UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT* What a pleasant surprise to find this little gem today. Under new management, family run and super family friendly. Clean and fresh decor, great little beer garden and truly wonderful food - all freshly cooked to order - plenty of choice and smaller portions for little ones. Puddings were sensational. Chef was incredibly helpful and friendly as was the bar staff/waitress who ran the whole show seamlessly. Absolutely recommend this place and will most definitely be going back... for deserts.
