  I normally stay at well known hotels but though i would give the great barr a try. Lovely cute hotel lovely staff enjoyed our nights stay would recommend

  Went to the Murs and Mars night on the 23rd February 2018. The singer was excellent as Bruno Mars, not so good as Olly. (stick as Bruno only) The choice of food was lasagne or lasagne! You had to pay extra for fries or garlic bread. I would have expected the sides to be in with the price for the 19.95 we paid for the evening. Also drinks are on the expensive side................

  Went there for an after funeral food and drink. The food was really good but there wasn't enough tea and coffee to go around & we waited a long time for it to be refreshed. Clean room.

  Christmas party. Poor arrangements. Seats were cramped to fit into the table and a few people were left standing at the end. Buffet style dinner which isn’t stated when booking. The food was okay. Shortly after dinner a trash bag went around collecting rubbish while we were still seated. Definitely not coming back next year for our Christmas party

  You get what you pay for. I had a single room for a last minute stop off. Room was in need of an overhaul, I can imagine like much of the hotel. Rooms have very thin walls so I could hear every conversation going on either side. There was a very strong musty/damp smell in the room which couldn't be removed from having the window open. The fire alarm going off at 2am didn't help the experience either. Breakfast was OK and the staff pleasant enough.
