  Amazing Sunday roast followed by gorgeous pud. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

  What a great place this is, the food was really nice and the service was excellent. You can even walk off your meal by taking a walk along Lancaster Canal. Highly recommended.

  Great historic country pub. Good beer. A good selection of great food that's not expensive with daily specials. Landlord is very friendly and welcoming. Go for a walk along the canal that runs next to the pub and then have a good meal after your walk.

  A wonderful pub in a delightful location. The staff are friendly and helpful, dogs are allowed and welcomed. The food is truly outstanding and very reasonably priced and the portions will please even the hungriest of patrons. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, there is simply not a thing to be critical about. Amazing. Will be coming back again and again.

  Walking in is like walking into a warm hug. The atmosphere was friendly, warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. The food was amazing, I was there with my little boy who is not quite 3 and I can't remember the last time he ate so well and enjoyed his food so much. My partner was blown away with her meal too as was I. The portions were a good size too and they don't cost the world.
