  Lovely dog friendly pub, staff very welcoming and made a huge fuss of our dogs. Food was lovely and the beer was cold. Excellant - highly recommend.

  Very generous Sunday roast portions, tasty and mostly very well cooked (beef could have been pinker for my taste). Nice homley feel and staff were very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the ale and wine too. Desserts were excellent, apple crumble in particular. All for a very reasonable price too

  I had lunch there on Saturday for the first time under the new owners and it was very nice. The place was warm, the log fire was roaring away, food was very nice, staff were friendly. Pretty much what you would want from a local country pub.

  Food here is tasty enough, but came out one at a time when we ordered - meant that two of our party of 6 had their food two minutes before everyone else. Went the night before and played pool, but was made fairly difficult as the lighting wasn't working - was told that it had been out for 3 weeks! Had a couple of ales the night before, would have been nice to have some local ones on. But price was right and good selection of crisps. Appreciate that it might be out of their hands but doesn't inspire confidence.
